I can hardly believe it has been 1,004 days since my last post. So much has transpired during this time—a global pandemic that reshaped our lives, the heartache of losing my Dad, and the world coming together in unprecedented ways. Many of us learned to adapt, finding new hobbies and ways to connect with loved ones despite physical distance. Most importantly, we learned invaluable lessons about cherishing family and what truly matters. I appreciate your patience and support during this long absence, and I look forward to reconnecting and sharing more with you all.
What better way to start the year than with an IG Reel hop with my fellow Altenew Educators? The theme for today is “Bloom and Grow”. The hop starts from @altenewllc, so be sure to begin there and follow along!

Hello, my friends! Welcome to my blog! Thanks to Therese Calvird for sending everyone over. I’m so excited for this Marvelous Monthly Series Release blog hop!!! For the complete details, make sure to drop by the Altenew Card Blog. You can find the full release here.
I created some cards using the products from this release. I hope you’ll like them!
GET WELL SOON
STEPS:
Stamp the image from the Silk Art Stamp set using dye inks. With a spray bottle, add some water to the image.
Using the stencils, add Versamark ink to some parts of the stamped images.
Sprinkle Distress Glazes (Antique Linen and Salvaged Patina) on certain areas them emboss to create a mottled effect and for added contrast.
Emboss the edges using Rose Gold embossing powder to create a frame.
Color the flowers with Alcohol Markers: Cosmic Berry, Purple Wine, Puffy Heart, and Rose Quartz. Start with the lightest pink. Make sure to use a flicking motion when coloring the petals.
Follow the layering based on the images on the insert card.
Die-cut plain cardstock using the Fine Frames Cover die. Add Versamark Ink and emboss using Rose Gold embossing powder.
Stamp the sentiment on the vellum and tear the edges.
Assemble the card.
TIP: Always start with the lightest watercolor first, then work your way to a darker shade. While the image is still wet, use the fine tip of the watercolor brush to add some stipples for added texture.

I was so excited when I saw the products in the Craft Your Life: Florescence kit! I love huge images because that would mean there can be many ways to use this stamp set. Below are the cards I made for this hop.
Die-cut the painted panel using the Peeking Leaves Cover Die. Add four more die cuts for added dimension and adhere on top of each other.
Stamp sentiment using Obsidian Ink and emboss with Clear embossing powder.
Adhere the background to a 5×7 inches card base and do the inlay technique for the die-cut.
TIP: Make sure to use the Press and Seal to pick up all the tiny negative parts of the die. It is a bit tedious to put back all the tiny negative die cuts, but it was worth it!
HELLO
STEPS:
Stamp and emboss the image from the CYLPK: Florescence with Rose Gold embossing powder.
Color the image using stencils and dye inks.
Add shadows using alcohol ink markers.
Stamp and emboss the sentiment using Pure White Crisp Embossing powder.
Assemble the card.
SO GRATEFUL MOM
STEPS:
Create a background by using the Gelly Art plate and acrylic paints.
Stamp the image from the CYLPK: Florescence and emboss with Pure White Crisp Embossing powder.
Die-cut the word MOM using the Caps Bold Alpha set. Die-cut 4 more of the letters and adhere them to each other for added dimension.
I wanted to make a Mother’s Day card for my Mom. She loves bright colors, so that this card will be perfect for her. You can also use patterned paper for a quicker card instead of making your own backgrounds.
ISA WE COULDN’T BE PROUDER
I was blown away when I saw Jaycee Gaspar’s card using this technique, and I had to try it out. I urge you to watch the tutorial on making a card like this from my idol. He will walk you through all the steps. Such an ingenious way to use embossing folders! You can find it on his YouTube channel here. Make sure to check out his blog as well for more inspiration.
For my card, I added some gold foil washi tape at the bottom of the letters for more contrast. I also added embossed edges to finish off the card. Isa is short for Isabela, my eldest child, who graduated from college just a few days back.
Again, thank you so much, Jaycee, for continuing to be my source of inspiration!!!

Hello, everyone! Welcome to my blog, and thanks to Terri Koszler for sending everyone over. For the complete details of this hop, head over to the Altenew blog. Take a look at this beautiful addition to the Craft-a-Flower family:
I like the size of this die because it’s big enough to use alone on a card front. But for those of you who know my style, you know how much I love layering.

This collection is filled with beautiful stamps, dies, and stencils. I made six cards to showcase how you can use these wonderful products.
Do you get intimidated by intricate designs? Well, fear no more!! These coloring stencils make it easy to color this beautifully detailed stamp set! I love the sentiments in this stamp set, too! Below is another sample using the All Things A coloring stencils. I just created an ombre background for a different look.
Stamp the sentiment on grey cardstock and emboss with white embossing powder.
Assemble card using foam squares and adhesive.
STAY COZY
STEPS:
Stamp the image from Comfy Couch Stamp on one of the ombre papers from the Blends 6×6 paper pack and emboss with Pure White embossing powder. Die cut the image.
Stamp plants from the Pots & Plants Stamp with Obsidian ink, emboss with clear embossing powder, and color with Alcohol brush markers. Diecut.
Cut out a window. Create the sky background and the carpet using mixed media inks.
Stamp the sentiment from the Armchair Stamp to the pillow and emboss with Pure white embossing powder.
Assemble the card.
I wanted to use a variety of stamp sets to create this scene. Don’t you love a compy sofa with a view of plants outside your window? It’s the perfect spot to read a good book and sip coffee. <3
