Hi, everyone! Hope you all liked the IG hop we prepared for you. I enjoyed creating cards with lots of shimmer and shine in them. Here’s a quick rundown of how I made my cards for this IG hop. I tried my best to capture the shine in my photos.
I used the following alcohol inks on Yupo paper: Teal Cave, Emerald, Desert Night and Persian Blue. Love the contrast of soft and vibrant colors. This is the beauty of alcohol inks… you really don’t know what the outcome will be!!! I added more shine by using Decofoil gold and Piñata gold for more contrast with the blues. The diecuts were also covered with Gold foil washi tape.
Look at that shine!!!! I really love the gold and green combo.
For the next card, I used Decofoil Tranfser Gel on the Just Leaves die cuts. When the gel became transparent, I added gold foil. I also used the Essential Sentiment strip diecut as a stencil to add gel onto the hot pink cardstock so that the letters will appear in gold.
I just recently added a new toy to my tools and wanted to try if foiling will work using ordinary dies. Take a look at the outcome!!!
I loved how very detailed and intricate the outcome was!!! Some areas had excess foil but I really didn’t mind cause it added texture to the card front.
Although these are CAS cards, I love how the shimmer gives the cards an elegant and classy look. I will definitely be creating more of these cards.

Hello, my crafty friends! Welcome to Altenew’s Washi Tape Blog Hop + Giveaway! If you just came from Karen Brown, then you’re on the right track. For the complete blog hop details, please click Altenew Blog.
I created two new cards using washi tapes. I’m also including some old projects from previous blog hops so that you can see the variety of ways you can use the Altenew washi tapes. If you’d like to see the complete collection of Altenew’s washi tapes, click here.
Technically, this is not a washi tape. I realized it was categorized as a die-cut tape AFTER I created the card. 😱 But I liked the effect of the alcohol inks so I thought it would be nice to share the process. Dye inks will not work (yes, I tried blending dye inks and they just rubbed off.)
As you can see, in both of my cards, I did not use any stamp set. All were just washi tapes and die cuts and both were fairly easy to put together.

Welcome to my blog, everyone! If you just came from Lilith Eeckels blog, then you’re on the right track. For the complete details of this hop, you may head to the Altenew Card Blog. You can find the complete release of the October 2021 Mighty Kind release collection here.
I created a number of cards for this wonderful release. Let me know in the comment section which one you like the best.
Create the background using Fine Tulle Stencil with Tumbled Glass, Frayed Burlap and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide inks and Rusty Hinge Spray stain. Spray some areas with water for the inks to react.
Die cut from vellum the background die and from light blue cardstock the Be Kind die. I die cut this 4 times and adhered them on top of each other for added thickness.
Assembe the card with adhesive.
Wouldn’t the world be a better place if we all can just be kind to one another??? Kindness is being considerate, generous, empathetic and accepting of the difference of others. I think we should remind ourselves, every day, to be kind.
Create 3 die cuts using the leaf pattern from the Flowing Foliage Die. Stack 3 on top of each other for more dimension.
Die cut 4 times from white carstock the sentiment using theWay To Go die. For the last layer, use the excess alcohol inked background.
Assemble the card with foam squares and adhesive.
I was inspired by Tiffany Solorio’s alcohol ink process using vellum so I tried it out. She used an Alcohol blending solution while I used isopropyl alcohol. I did not have that much warping maybe because I used thicker vellum. Love all the texture on this card.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
The process of this card is the same as the previous one. I was able to make 2 cards using 1 background! I will definitely be experimenting more with alcohol inks and vellum. For this card, I used the sentiment from the Essential Sentiments Die set for the sentiment.

Hello, everyone! Welcome to my blog! If you just came from Reiko Tsuchida, you’re on the right track. For complete information about this hop, visit the Altenew Card Blog. Take a look at this gorgeous kit!
Here’s a CAS card with lots of texture. I love the effect of the 3D embossing folder on washi tape. Sometimes, there will be some tear here and there but that just adds more interest to the card.
Die cut the center using Halftone Squares Die set. Switch the enters and mat using silver cardstock.
Add a card base. If you do not have colored cardstock, use the Mixed Media inks to color the paper to match your embossed layer.
Assemble the card using foam squares.
This is another quick card to make. I love how intricate the roses are and the white highlights just make it look more 3D.
YOU ARE SO LOVED
STEPS:
Stamp on watercolor paper with Versamark and emboss with Rose Gold Embossing Powder the rose image from the kit . Stamp on masking paper and cut out the image. Mask the stamped image on the paper and stamp the leaves. Create a mask for the leaves then stamp and emboss another rose. Continue to stamp-emboss-mask to create the layered images.
Watercolor the petals and leaves using the following Watercolor brush markers: Purple Wine, Persian Blue, Lagoon and Turquoise. Use the wet on wet technique.
Add a light wash on the outer surface of the flowers and leaves.
Emboss the sentiment with Pure White embossing powder on black cardstock.
Assemble card.
The stamp masking took a while to do but I love the outcome with all the layering! I also do not normally put the stamped images on the right side of the card… I tend to arrange them on the lower-left corner or the left side of the card. This time, I wanted to try something different. I placed the sentiment on the opposite side of the stamped image for more balance. Let me know if you like this layout. 🙂

I created 2 cards using these layering dies–one is overflowing with flowers while the other one I kept simple. (Actually, I had a few leftover flowers and I didn’t want them to go to waste 🙂
YOU ARE SO LOVED
Emboss craft paper using the Deck Planks 3D embossing folder.
Cut the paper into strips and create a paper weaving basket.
Watercolor sheets of paper in different coordinating colors for the different layers of the flowers and leaves and assemble.
Watercolor the background.
Destress the edges.
Stamp and emboss the sentiment.
Assemble the card.
I wanted to have a basket filled with flowers but didn’t have a die for it so I just created my own basket weave. Before cutting up the strips, I embossed the paper using the Deck Planks 3D embossing folder for added texture to the paper.
I added tissue paper behind the basket and the flowers to give more dimension to the arrangement. I also added some die cuts using the Branches and Berries Die to make the arrangement look fuller. Instead of using an assortment of cardstock, I chose to use watercolor. This will add more variation to the petals and leaves.
I miss making flower arrangements!!! Hopefully, someday, I can go back to arranging real flowers again.
STAY STRONG
Watercolor the base of the card.
Die cut white cardstock using the Linear Crossroads die.
Adhere leftover flowers and leaves.
Stamp and emboss the sentiment.
Assemble the card.
This was an easy card to make since all the fussy work was already done. Use precision tweezers for adhering the tiny parts of the flowers.
